FWIW, you should have mentioned the nickname of the Rangers' #1 line ... the GAG Line (meaning Goal a Game). Thanks for the memory lane visit Ozzie. Brings back a LOT of good memories. And you were 100% correct about Brad Park.

Bobby Orr is still the all-timer. No one could burn off a power play like he could. And hey... that flying goal against the Blues in the Stanley Cup Final is a classic.

The funny thing is that Orr shot the puck while on his feet. He was tripped up after the shot (I think it had already gone into the net) and raised his hands in celebration as he flew through the air.

Hmmm...Hadfield, Ratelle and Gilbert. Then Park AND Ratelle for Esposito and Vadnais. OUCH

He changed the game. Nobody, and I mean nobody, will ever have the same impact as he did (we came close to having the next Orr but he drank himself out of the game and, IIRC, is now dead).

But thinking about Orr, can you imagine what his career would have been like had today's medical procedures existed when he was playing? The knee troubles wouldn't have been nearly as bad as they were and he likely could have played a lot longer than he did. Can you imagine having the honour of watching him play at the highest of levels for a few more years?

Well, maybe a little, but if OZZIE can name the 4 lines of the Rangers from about 100 years ago (he is older than I am ;) ), then I think our friend (cough) chose the wrong goober, err, raisin, to bash about hockey. Have at him/her, OZZIE.

Note: I only named the first 2 lines, plus the centers on the 3rd and 4th lines. And the only defender I remember is Park.
