For those still reading/lurking/interested, the EKB has about 7 out of 20 threads on page 1 that appear to have little, if anything to do about Duke sports. The OTB is discussing such things as tonsillectomy, ear tubes, HVAC and scholarships. But, there are no polls or birthday wishes and the PWing appears to be at a minimum. :roll:

I was permanently banned a couple of months ago but no real reason was ever given. It wasn't for anything I had said or any particular post I had made. In fact, I hadn't had so much as an infraction point against me in months. Basically, I pissed off one of the mods one time too many and, when he got his chance, he banned me and justified it by saying I was too critical of the powers that be over there and, more or less, that I wasn't sufficiently grateful for being allowed to post there (obviously, I'm summarizing here).

If you look at any of my old posts on TOWEL I am officially listed as being 'on holiday'. I was pissed at the time, especially because I think the mod who did it is a complete dick and is one of the biggest problems amongst the mods there, but now I couldn't care less. The people I enjoy interacting with are now here on this board and I like the atmosphere here far better than the atmosphere that had developed at TOWEL. After James' regime (I was posting regularly on McGrupp's BTD board when James left TOWEL), and the unbelievable bullshit he pulled with me one day (few people know the story but he was such a dick that I'm not sure anyone would really find it all that shocking), I didn't think things could get worse at TOWEL (I thought they would improve) but they did.
