It is definitely from the UK because Lavabe's "Wooden Heart" wasn't released as a single in the US until 1964 and it didn't place in the Top 40 on our side of the pond.
You can listen to the song on playlist, but I recommend not.

I can't do the birthday song. :( Wish I could. Year 1941, big bands were in, especially Glen Miller. Some of these songs stayed around for years and years.

Yep. I grew up listening to "underground" FM stations from Philly like WMMR and really disliked "pop" music.
