I think this is the year that Ymo takes the title. Tilly will battle it out with him. And if Hendrick is really going to make Dale Jr it's #1 priority, Tilly should do VERY well.

I suspect that I won't do as well this year. The A list is MUCH more complicated than it was last year, when you could basically throw away Burton, Bowyer, Harvick, and Kenseth. The C list is VERY tough to figure out, as the Tasmanian Devil is no longer in it, and frankly, who knows which C listers this year are going to pull the start and park routine. More than anything else, it look like I'll not be in Madagascar this year, so I may be too close to every little factor that could sway my selections.

I saw in the paper on Friday that Danica is going to be in the NASCAR race here in St. Louis. Had forgotten there was even a track in the area - think it's on the other side of the river, and I think I passed it on my way to Springfield.

Did someone say NASCAR?

I don't know a thing about NASCAR, but I do know Richard Petty. :))

Actually, one of my clients was having a grand opening at his auto paint business a few weeks ago. He knew that Mom had traveled with Lynda Petty to Turkey a few years ago, so he invited Mom to attend the grand opening with me so that she could meet Richard Petty. We had a wonderful time. All these people kept coming up to see Richard Petty, and he kept approaching Mom to talk to her about his wife.

The King! Nice to see that he wanted to talk about his wife. I don't think NASCAR has had a much trouble as some other sports. But then, who knows.

I've been waiting to see those shots! Thanks for sharing! Richard looks good, your mom does to, but OMG, YOU... (I appreciate you sharing those shots!) I am reassessing my picks, if I ever can figure how to get in and actually select someone! :ymblushing:

Somedays, when I hear or read the acronym NASCAR, I start singing the following in my head.

Thanks. I missed that when I was looking through them for something to post on the LTE.

20 laps into it, and it' been an ugly ARCA Daytona race. One 10-car pile up, and a second accident. Danica still racing. Not sure how many women still in the race. I believe Milka has been checked out of the hospital:

Jaws, regarding Danica:
"I like the intensity of her eyes ... when she's racing"
Umm, there was about a 5 second pause between EYES and WHEN.
=)) :)) :)) =)) =)) :))

Followed shortly by one of the commentators:
"And I like the way she tightens her belts." :-o :-o

SHEESH!!!!!!!!! You can't make this stuff up.

And now Jill George is out. Another accident. This race sucks so far.

The GoDaddy commercials are... well, they ARE GoDaddy commercials, and Danica is featured very much in them. :-o

Well, after she spun out into the infield in lap 54 of 80, Danica chased her way up through the pack, and finished 6th.

No other major WHOOPS from Jaws and the announcers.

Danica raced well after the Duke game.

Take a look at the bumping that led to her spin out, and then look at how well she did to fight back in the race. She was actually VERY good. She's not ready for Sprint just yet, but she did well for Junior. I expect her to race in the Nationwide race next week.

MM and Jr did well in qualifying.

I picked Dale Jr. as one of my drivers for Daytona. I know I've said I wouldn't be picking him this year after how lousy he performed for me last year but I've got a hunch he will do well at Daytona. Whether or not I pick him again the rest of the year will rest largely on his performance at Daytona.
