It's cool you watched a movie involving a girl with her own theater with a guy in hiw own theater.bjornolf wrote:Good Morning, all!![]()
I was up 'til 2:00 am last night watching Inglourious Basterds with my buddy in his theater. Hence, I slept in.
Oh yeah! The devildeac's are at the Grove Park Inn this weekend. Happy dancing!!!devildeac wrote:Check my location.Lavabe wrote:WHERE is devildeac?![]()
It sure does. But read it backwards, and it seems to very possibly be someone's name.OZZIE4DUKE wrote:Osiagledknarf
The above screen name is new on the DBR. Does it vaguely remind anyone else of a word or words used by one of our beloved posters who is banned on DBR? Just curious!![]()
When we get posters like that here, usually a quick IP check turns up a positive hit as a spammer, and they are quickly deleted and banned. Over there...you have to knarf their osiagles a bit more and earn the ban.OZZIE4DUKE wrote:Osiagledknarf

I did read it backwards and it STILL sounded like something someone would use.wilson wrote:It sure does. But read it backwards, and it seems to very possibly be someone's name.OZZIE4DUKE wrote:Osiagledknarf

And yes, it WAS the Mayans who predicted the end of the world in 2012. Although, technically, their calendar just ends then. They don't really have any apocalyptic predictions that I know. They just got tired of updating their calendars for 1000+ years into the future, then the Aztecs demolished them. So lazy. ;)
I know EJ is. Permanently. Something about scissors and nipples and a rhyme with dumbo...colchar wrote:OZZIE4DUKE wrote:Osiagledknarf

Who here, besides me of course, is banned over yonder?

Isn't that pronunciation actually against the law, within the state?colchar wrote:ArkieDukie wrote:Arkansas is derived from a Native American (Osage?) phrase which means "down river people." I have a friend who pronounces it AR-KAN-SUS. He is clearly an idiot.
Perhaps he is from Arkansas City, KS - which is pronounced AR-KAN-SUS - affectionatly referred to as Ark City.colchar wrote:ArkieDukie wrote:Arkansas is derived from a Native American (Osage?) phrase which means "down river people." For the same terrible reason that Butte is pronounced with the long vowel U.Lavabe wrote:Why is Arkansas pronounced AR-KIN-SAW and not AR-KAN-SUS?
There's a suburb of Atlanta called Dacula, pronounced "Duh-CUE-luh". However, I resolutely refuse to pronounce it any other way than "DACK-you-luh," complete with Transylvanian accent. Seriously, every time I have said this word for the past 12 years or so, I have pronounced it with the classic vampire accent.Miles wrote:For the same terrible reason that Butte is pronounced with the long vowel U.Lavabe wrote:Why is Arkansas pronounced AR-KIN-SAW and not AR-KAN-SUS?
