IIRC, Bostondevil said it was f-ing cold up there. Then colchar said something like it was actually pretty warm in Vancouver. Then I mentioned that they're having the WINTER Olympics in Vancouver.bjornolf wrote:Oh, come on, the cold's not that bad. I'd have thought that Ymo was into speedskating and downhill skiing. And didn't NASCAR get involved with bobsledding?
At what point will blood doping, PED's, etc... become an issue, and in how many winter events?

Don't mind the speedskating nor the people hurtling themselves downhill on various devices, but whereas I will go out of my way to watch track and field I won't do the same thing for any of the winter sports.Lavabe wrote:IIRC, Bostondevil said it was f-ing cold up there. An older, now retired co-worker, once told me that car-hauler loading work was better than sex. (at the time, it was 35 degrees and pouring rain)
When I asked him why he would make such a claim, his reply...
"You wouldn't want to be caught outdoors fuckin' in weather like this, would you?"

I've made it a habit since I've moved here to go play at the local par 3 course on New Year's day, because it's been at least 60 (two years in a row it was in the 70's) and nice. Today was wet, and coldish...but if wasn't wet I would have played. With high's in the 30's for the weekend, I ain't doing a damn thing. (Which means I'll probably brew beer...good brewing temps)

Well. I've finally caught up and now it's time for the greens and black-eyed peas thing. The mate makes the world's greatest white-meal corn bread.
There's also a pork tenderloin roast. YMMMMMMMM!
Goes good with Bushmills single malt and ginger ale.

Re: LTE 2.0
Good morning. I have to get to the RDU airport about 9:45 to pick up my niece and bring her back to Smithfield. She lives in Myrtle Beach with her sister, but they've been in San Diego visiting their parents, who moved there about 4 years ago. I visited the parents, my SIL and her husband, so I guess he's my BIL, last February.
