WHOA!!!
Hold on thar!!

A: I said they were hot. They are a bit hotter than jalapenos, but not as hot as habanero.
B: devildeac said he doesn't like spicy hot things. I remember asking if he'd meet up with Bones, and whether Bones liked spicy things. When he said yes to both questions, I said to bring him the peppers. I told devildeac that I'd leave the jar in his garage refrigerator.

PLEASE NOTE SUGGESTIONS:
1) Use them with a hearty chili, stew, or some such meal.
2) Try one (or less) chopped up and garnish a Denver/western omelet.
3) Try one (or less) chopped up with your favorite hash browns.
4) Add to a good curry.

If you do eat them raw, avoid the membrane and seeds. You'll find the peppers are still hot, but much more tolerable, and you'll pick up the sutle citrus flavor.
DO NOT handle them directly with your fingers, particularly the seeds. [-x [-x If you do, wash your hands throughly. I once failed to wash my hands after handling some extra burn varieties in Madagascar, and had the misfortune of rubbing my eyes. MOTHER OF G_D!!

If you DO want to eat them raw, eating YOGURT will decrease the heat.

I did NOT try to kill CBaB and devildeac.
Cheers,
Lavabe

FWIW, I just tried one of those peppers. They really do open up the sinuses!

I don't think I'm going to need to take any cold medication tonight. :D

Just picked up Georgia the Wonderdog from the kennel. I couldn't pick her up yesterday, as there was a UK game going on nearby the kennel when I would have picked her up. Of course, I could have let her loose, and maybe she would have found her way over to John Wall.

She is thoroughly zonked. She barely had enough energy to go outside.

Good morning, Lavabe.

Yep, looking forward to the Olympics. I like the hockey, the bobsled/luge, and some of the skiing. My wife likes the figure skating. She still tells the story about how I tortured her last time. She was REALLY sick with the flu. She was lying in bed watching QVC. I came in to see how she was, and I sat with her for a while. I was looking for some Olympic coverage for her, and the only thing I could find was curling. I switched it over to that. A few minutes later, I left, leaving the remote on my nightstand. She sat there watching curling for four hours, not having the energy to crawl to the remote. She still gives me trouble for that, saying that was spousal abuse, pure and simple.

Why is curling considered a Winter Olympic sport?
Has there been a Bode Miller sighting?
Is Apollo Anton Ono too old to win a medal in Vancouver?
Can Martin Brodeur win the gold?

I'm not a big fan of the Winter Olympics, not really a fan of the cold either.

I have a kitten who enjoys being petted between 4 and 5 am every morning. The first few weeks when she couldn't get on the bed it wasn't an issue.

I got a little poochie that does this also. Before Vesper however, there were cats that did this at 5:30 in the morning, waking in a nice sort of way but with other intentions (FOOD time!). lol :))

Yes! I love the Olympics, when do they start? January or February? My favorite is the boblsed, and while I think figure skating is pretty boring altogether, when it's done at that high level of talent and skill it's fascinating.

The Winter Olympics are lightyears better than the Summer Olympics. I'm very psyched.

I used to really enjoy watching the Olympics. But, the good stuff is on late, and there are soooooo many commercial breaks that now it's not fun anymore. Plus, the skating announcers talk, talk, talk throughout each performance, and make negative comments when a skater falls. They too have ruined the experience for me. I wish I could mute the announcers.

Have you ever noticed that there is a volume button on the remote? Also a mute button. You could choose your own music to accompany the skaters!
