Duke vs Gardner-Webb

Post by Jesus_hurley » December 15th, 2009, 11:19 am

Back to the court! Gardner-Webb comes calling tonight @ 7. TV: ESPN2

Sounds like Singler, Smith and Zoubek are nursing some minor injuries so they may see limited minutes depending on how the game goes. Maybe this will mean big nights for Dawkins, Kelly and the Plumlees. For those of you going to the game make sure to show Dawkins some love!

What a game! Scheyer was 1 rebound and 1 assist away from a triple-double.

That was as close to perfection as a basketball team can get. Yes, GW was not the best team on the planet, but they were suprisingly good. Great performance by Jon Scheyer. Wow.

Favorite play: Nolan's vison of open lane resulting in a drive down the middle with a monster slam.

That was a beauty, he reminded me of J.D. lots last night. My favorite play was Jon's behind the back pass for the assist.

TV editors really blew it. As soon as the ball got halfway around his back, they cut to an empty full floor view (pre-game I guess) and you had to hope for the replay. The crowd sounded beautiful, however. :-t

This really was quite a play. He also had another dandy behind the head pass (IIRC) to MP2 for a layup or slam. He had an incredible game last PM.

But at least they were able to show the replay multiple times - with out the cut away to the higher camera angle.
Life is good!
