Duke vs Coastal Carolina

It'll be Duke vs Coastal Carolina for our first game in the pre-season NIT. Game time is 7:00PM on 11/16. The game will be televised on ESPNU. No Nolan and no Mason for this one.

Coastal Carolina will also be shorthanded tonight. They suspended 3 players (Danny Nieman, Chad Gray and Marcus Macellari) for violating team rules:

Macellari is a 6'7" forward (FR)
Gray is a 6'7" forward (JR)
Nieman is a 6'1" guard (FR)

Anyone want to explain why we got a technical in the 2nd half?

The announcers were too busy evaluating Purdue and Butler. I half expected them to discuss the Yankees.

Come to think of it, one of them DID make a first half comment about neither team having "Mariano Rivana" coming out of the bullpen.

The announcers were too busy evaluating Purdue and Butler. I half expected them to discuss the Yankees.

Come to think of it, one of them DID make a first half comment about neither team having "Mariano Rivana" coming out of the bullpen.

No technical. Singular (ha-ha) committed a PF on the 1st shot of a 1+1 so they shot the second one with no one on the "blocks" after making the first and then shot the 2 FT from his PF as it was our 10th. It was an odd call but there were several of those.

Ahhhh. As Lavabe noted, the announcers (who were idiots) were chatting about something else, I sort of felt I was ease dropping an a conversation. They were one of the worst crews I've seen. But, I suppose they were better than Dickie V.

Seriously, those guys were knuckleheads. I don't remember who they were, but we had a similar crew when they were having NBA guys swapping with the college guys for some games last year; they were talking about everything but the game we were watching, and it was so irritating.
