Brunchgate 11-14 Edition (Menu & Attendance)
I'm starting this now, because win or lose vs. UNC, this will be the biggest game Duke has had at Wallace Wade for years. It's also the last game that TNT will be able to offer his services at, he has a family to feed for Thanksgiving in Connecticut.
I'll start the menu...with 3 bushels of oysters to be steamed on site, and 4 racks of baby back ribs. I'll also have 2 kinds of homebrew..a porter and an IPA.

Duke born, Duke bred, cooking on a grill so I'm tailgate fed.

Argh, you're killing me!!!
I *so* want to try some of CB&B's homebrew, and to meet more of you wonderful brunchgaters. Plus, it'd be awesome to root on Duke in person.
You know I'm there in spirit! Go Devils!!

Re: Brunchgate 11-14 Edition
I'll be bringing desserts in collaboration with CB&B and TNTDevil, I think. Right guys ;)
. I'll also be bringing 4 bombers from the tent/food funds (and one of my own NW specialties
) for a bona fide beer sampling. I have about 12 little sampler cups from Total Wine that they use for their wine tastings so we can taste, rinse and repeat. If others would like to bring a bomber of their favorite GOOD beer or a surprise to share with others, we can have 10, 15 or 20 tasters and I will procure some more sample cups from TW. I will be bringing the following:
1. Biere de Mars-New Belgium
2. Warrior IPA-Left Hand
3. Kaiser Imperial Octoberfest-Avery
4. Czar Imperial Stout-Avery
I even think Ozzie will like #1, #3 and will appreciate #4 because it is just so complex and tasty. I think #2 will be too bitter for his tender palate

Time is set for noon. Crapola. It will be oysters for brunch. (The benefit of which will be that it will be a nice way to warm up, cracking open some steaming hot oyster shells.)

Also..they will be that much fresher. They are being pulled out of the water some time on Friday, the guy getting them for me won't know until the day before when I can pick them up because it will depend on tides and water conditions. That's fresh!CameronBornAndBred wrote:Time is set for noon. Crapola. It will be oysters for brunch. Hmm, wonder if TNTDevil is thinking about scrambled eggs, peppered bacon, sausage and french toast again...
Wonder if Ima is thinking about that sausage/egg/cheese casserole again...
Wonder if Tillie is thinking about her potato casserole again...
Wonder if Ozzie is thinking about budlite again...

Re: Brunchgate 11-14 Edition (Menu & Attendance)
Nailed it. Add, cinnamon-raisin swirl bread, biscuits (not rolled so thin this time) and I'm gonna do some grilled potatoes. DD- maybe we should postpone the "special" items given the early start?devildeac wrote:Hmm, wonder if TNTDevil is thinking about scrambled eggs, peppered bacon, sausage and french toast again...
It'll be the TNT posse +2 (Thanks Jim Learish) for a total of six.
Multiple adult beverages and some spicy BMs (really missed them at the UNC game which, in hindsight, may have spoiled our Mojo).
Undecided on whether to bring TV/Sat...
I'll be there at 8am... Great googly-moogly... I HATE Noon starts.

In that case, I'll bring my potato casserole. Gosh, DD, that's two brunchgates in a row I've acquiesced to you. ;) ;)TNTDevil wrote:Nailed it. Re: Brunchgate 11-14 Edition (Menu & Attendance)
I agree about postponing the "special" items, given the early start. I'll talk to CB&B about possibly preparing them in your absence on 11/28, depending on starting time for the wfu game. No offense to you.TNTDevil wrote:Nailed it. Add, cinnamon-raisin swirl bread, biscuits (not rolled so thin this time) and I'm gonna do some grilled potatoes.
