The sister thread to 'I wish I could' is the I can...what hidden talents are out there? CB&B I hear can paint a little
Some of you have seen a little bit of it...my spelling and crappy typing not withstanding...but Windsor can write. I write mostly for myself but I can turn a phrase. Most folks find this odd since I'm a hard core geek. I had more than one English prof try to get me to consider writing as a career.
I will write that book one day. Maybe.

Do your write pen in hand, or type on a computer? Same question to you BD.
My mom had the most beautiful handwriting. She had this cool writing box and would take the time to write people letters in calligraphy. I always thought that was pretty cool.

I can play bass, which implies that I also have rhythm and can keep time. I wouldn't go so far as to say that I can dance, but I a familiar with the concepts and methods. I just don't. Would love to take ballroom lessons though.

I like to create: designing clothes, recipes, interior design. Have painted a little (oils) long ago. Recently have been trying my hand and eye in some landscape design around my house. Love to dance.... especially ballroom, swing and some Latin! Dancing's good for the brain and the body.

My Mom has great handwriting too.
It seems to be a lost art these days.

I can write rather well myself (not that I've ever demonstrated that here). I can't write fiction to save my life but, when it comes to other forms of writing (dissertation, essays, letters, etc.) I write very well.
I am also learning how to play guitar again but, at the moment, I doubt I could count that as a talent.
I can also PW with the best of them...

I can sing.
I can play the piano.
I have perfect pitch. (That's not really a talent--it's a gift or tool which I utilize when singing or playing the piano. It's also a cool party trick.)

Mrs. DD and I will give you your first lesson. For free. Well, maybe not for free. She'd like a bowl of your chili and I'd like another beer ;)

I can write great Psychology papers and fun fiction. I also play the flute and the bassoon and love to paint. I prefer to combine water color with collage and enjoy acrylics and oils.

I can dance. Not ballroom, and not like I could 20 years/lbs ago - but I spent a lot of time on my toes - and in jazz shoes...I realize when I started Zumba classes that the girl still had some moves...if I could twist Mr. Windsors arm I would love to try ballroom....I've only done it on stage in plays.

You can attend the 1st 2 ballroom dance lessons that DitBD, Mrs. DD and I give to Miles and Kelly ;)

.
You can have some unsuspecting friend/relative give you and the hubby a gift certificate to one of the dance studios in town for a series of ballroom dance lessons. That's how we got started. My office staff did that for our birthdays 2 1/2 years ago.

I know a girl who can do it as well...but at the risk of causing a board meltdown I will not name her...nor mention how she might be related to me......
