Key to this game which will benefit Duke the following week: VT works over Yates with many sacks and interceptions

TJ's confidence is vulnerable after the games so far. The really good backup QB transferred when the coach told him Yates had the starting position again. Can't think of a better team to hand Carolina loss #4 in the conference.

Why the frowns? Unless I'm misreading the standings, Duke now controls its own destiny in the ACC Coastal division. Far fetched? Maybe. But at some point we need to accept that Coach Cut is putting us in a position to not just compete, but win the ACC.

True, but I never, ever root for the 'holes. I would have liked the hokey-pokeys to kick the stuffing out of them, left them despondent and beat up for our meeting next weekend. Now, they have hope and they'll be playing in the other dump on the hump where I've never seen any favorable officiating slanted toward our beloved :ymdevil: .

I was just thinking that. I was so bummed that the Hokies lost to the Holes, as they're my second team (being married to a Hokie and all), but then I realized that Duke is now pretty much the only team that can overtake GT in the division. How crazy is that? Who thought we'd be saying that? I know it's a LONG shot, but we have one, dammit, and I certainly didn't think I'd be saying that this late in the season this year, at least not after our first couple games.

And a minute later, FSU scores...the Pack has a swiss cheese defense.

Too bad Duke isn't playing FL State this year.... could be our year to beat 'em! Instead I'll be happy with a win over Virginia today.
