I posted my 3000th without realizing it. I could go back and delete a couple, but that already happens enough over yonder without my doing it. Well hell.
Anyways, this is post 3001. (Not much deep thought there, I'm too ticked off!! )

I was gonna do something with Clarke, but I figured unless he wrote 3001 it's pointless. Geez..I'm on a roll today.devildeac wrote:Classic. Great stuff. I assume that is a real novel or have I been "rickrolled?"DukeUsul wrote:For CB&B's big milestone:

I would venture that will be accompanied by the commensurate stipend increase also.CameronBornAndBred wrote:I gotta make sure we have your next appointment ready.devildeac wrote:Hmm, wonder if I can achieve my next milestone before a few others (cough, BD, DinK, Ymo) can reach theirs...

Thank you. Was hoping to post a link to a story about Duke Basketball and a Make-A-Wish foundation event but haven't found a write up yet. So I went with the joke. I knew I couldn't top Windsor's.devildeac wrote:DinK > 1K now. Congrats.

Re: Milestones
It's been a long time since I read it. High school I think. I don't remember a whole lot of it. I do recall that there were many, many inconsistencies between the novels 2001, 2010, 2061 and 3001. Much of that because between 1967 and 1997 there was quite a bit about science and progress that caused Clarke to adjust his alternate future.Miles wrote:Tis real. Haven't read it though. I recall the rest of the series being interesting because of how it laid out some of Clarke's thinking behind the creators of the monolith and the evolution of species. But 2061 and 3001 were not my favorites of his works.

Re: Milestones
Hmm, BD has 999 here and 1999 over yonder. Bet she's setting up a double dip to cover both milleniums at once ;) .
