Oct. 24th X Game

Post by Very Duke Blue » October 25th, 2009, 10:54 am

Wow, Cameron looks great. The score board, the Duke emblem lights shown on the floor and the huge marque on the base on press row, with the players names when they were introduced, and the DUKE BLUE seats make Cameron sooo modern.

Zob really looks good. He's lean, much faster, moves much better. He had a double double last night. Miles has gotten so much better. He looked great. Looks like Ryan Kelly is going to be a key player also. Mason is going to be a plus to the team. We are going to be a very good team this year, IMO. I do believe we will go further then the last previous years. GO DUKE!! GTHC. 9F 9F 9F :ymapplause: :ymapplause:

Game was lots of fun..but hard to take any meaningful judgements away from. All of the double-doubles weren't surprising given the height disparity between teams. Zoubs DID look much better physically. Kelly looks like a real player, Mason Plumlee had way too many frustrating missed layups and short shots. Still, he was fun to watch. Miles looks much better prepared for the ACC, and Dawkins has a nice touch on his long shots. Olek looks like he should get some decent playing time this season, I enjoyed watching him. Once again, lotta fun. GO DUKE!

Pfieffer was a bit overmatched considering the height disparity. The Findley game should be a better indicator of where we are considering Findley was undefeated last year (except for a 3 pt exhibition loss to Xavier). We'll still have a size advantage though.
