In Kentucky, we get English Premier League soccer. We also get Lumberjack competitions.

We get no hockey. At this point, I'd take some college hockey.

Missouri: Blues!! They actually command a good following in St. Louis.

Tennessee: Preds. Considering that the Titans stink this year, the Preds should gain a following.
Georgia: Thrashers... but really, who in Atlanta is REALLY following them during college football season? Oh yeah, and during the NBA season.
SCarolina: No Hockey

I guess Bettman did well with 4 or 5 states.

It's getting harder to identify sports with less fan base than NHL down here. I think skiing (Nordic and biathalon) may have smaller fan bases and tv exposure. Other than that, however, I can't think of too many.

I hope Sean Burke never makes it as he is an idiot (I dated his niece for a couple of years and have heard all kinds of things that have never hit the papers and therefore might not be common knowledge).

He's eligible but it is highly unlikely that he will ever make it. In fact, I would be absolutely shocked if he ever made it. My centreman when I was a younger (I was his right winger for a decade) played sixteen years and over 1000 games in the NHL. His stats blow Stefan's away and he certainly won't ever be considered for induction.

Unfortunately, Lindros may get a lot of votes.

I don't know about Lindros because of A) his refusal to play when originally drafted and B) his union activities today.
