I was SOOOOO hoping that TOUCHDOWN DUKE would have happened on post 12,000. #-o :-l

Oh well... we'll have to try something inventive for post 13,000, right?

SAY... how many posts are on the LTE 1.0? We should do something special for when we pass it.

As of this post, we're 1106 posts behind 1.0.
I agree that something special should mark the moment when we pass it.
Personally, I think BD should have the honor.

I wonder when we'll pass it? Maybe another post storm is in order? How many posts were made in the original post storm?

That's pretty damned impressive!

I don't think I took part in the post storm until after it was all over as I think I was away from my computer for a day or two.

Actually, I can't believe I started a thread that has gone on this long - 600+ pages! I can't take credit for creating it as we simply moved the LTE here from over yonder but I can take credit for being the one to start it here and for naming it LTE 2.0 which I thought was a nice touch ;)

2.0, like this place in general, could never be what it is without all of our contributions.
And regardless of your degree of credit, your name will sit right there underneath this thread's title forever. That's no small potatoes.

That's one of the things I like most about this place - that everything is such a community effort.

I'm betting that a year from now this thread will still be sitting on the front page!

I also just noticed that we have thirty-three pages of threads here. That's quite the accomplishment considering how long this site has been up. And it also proves that we all spend waaaay to much time screwing around on the interwebs.

I don't think there's one that blows kisses, but this is close. :-* I think of it as the Lavabe-ILJ PDA smilie. ;)

NBA regular season doesn't start until Tuesday. I only care about the Celtics and former Dukies. Go Shane, Go JJ, Go KG (sorry folks, KG has stolen the small part of my sports heart that cares about the NBA, I love that guy - in a 'yeah, I'd have his babies kinda way', TMI?)

The sound of crickets is deafening again today. I need some company here people, I'm desperately trying to avoid grading mid-terms! What are y'all doing? Oh. Wait...

Personally, I'm trying to get motivated to go to the grocery store. I have a great recipe for black beans and yellow rice that I haven't made in several years, and I've been craving it all week. The ingredients are on my list. Would also love to go take pictures of the fall colors, but I'm recovering from a really nasty chest cold
