The brisket is sliced and in a roasting pan for reheating on Saturday. There is about a quart of gravy to put in the pan to keep it moist. I'm
not going to bring rice for a side dish - I doubt anyone will eat it anyway, with all the other food available. I will be bringing my usual beverage in my cooler
And just for the record, I haven't had any of it

Hmm, maybe someone should add a potato casserole to the menu instead of the rice...

CB&B had mentioned a casserole but he's bringing the (Duke) Bluefish instead. Perhaps we'll have another volunteer...

Nope..still bringing the casserole..just not decided what kind. Plus (Duke) bluefish and burgers. I'm thinking french-cut green bean casserole with the crunchy onions...that's a favorite of mine and I haven't had it in a while. Easy to make for a crowd, too.

Ok so I have recently found out that I will definitely be attending the game. MrsUsul and BabyUsul will be staying at home - game falls right during naptime. I will definitely come to the brunchgate, but I just don't know how early. It depends on if dear wife and daughter drag me out to do something in the morning.

Chili is done, which gives it plenty of time for the flavors to continue to meld a bit more. I'll be bringing about 5-6 quarts plus a few fixins for those that might want to ruin, I mean fix up the chili. ;-)

Since I have bluefish..I've decided on a crab & broccoli casserole.

Is anyone bringing bowls for the chili? I've got a couple of bags of shredded cheese for it.

I want to publicly acknowledge and thank, especially thank, both Ima and Shereec for making full contributions to the tent fund this week! AllenMurray did so before the last Brunchgate - thank you too! Moneys received will be distributed to our major food and beverage providers in the morning for use in the next two Brunchgates.
Crap. There are only three more Brunchgates, including this one

Just finished a few dozen cheddar/pecan wafers. I'll stick 'em in. We won't be arriving until time for the Devil Walk since my casserole has to go into the oven in the morning before we come over. Don't everybody get full before I get it there.
Made a new assortment of buttons today, keeping everybody's suggestions in mind. Hope you like 'em.
Native is slammed with homework and projects this week, so he's not going to get there early. Sarah just got out of the hospital....AGAIN. She's gonna try. Won't know until time.
Heyyyyyyyy SEEEEya!

Hear! Hear! All hail the generous contributors!

Tomorrow, with the help of the Football Gods, Duke will win its second ACC game in a row for the first time in... forever. We are going to part of history! So, my disappointment at the number of tailgates remaining shall remain in the dark recesses of my withered brain for now.

Further augmenting the already awesome assortment of culinary delights we have planned. Wow.
