Let's eat turkey from a big brown shoe."

Re: Happy Thanksgiving, Colchar
Thanks for the Thanksgiving wishes everyone and my apologies for the delayed response but I went to Mom and Dad's yesterday and only just got back home now. Since Mom and Dad don't have web access at their house (neither of them can use a computer) it has been a little tough to keep up with the forums (did I miss anything worth knowing about?).
To answer some of the questions - we usually just celebrate with a family dinner. My brother and soon to be sister-in-law didn't come this year as they hosted a Thanksgiving thing at their place for any friends who don't have family in the province or near enough to celebrate with. Most people have turkey but my family really doesn't like it much so we never bother with it. Sometimes we'll have a good British-style roast beef dinner (that's what we had this year) while other times we'll have roast chicken, roast ham, both of those, or some other combination - we don't really have a set meal that we have each year.
So basically I just hung out with Mom and Dad and relaxed for a couple of days. Being sick made relaxing easier as I pretty much just flaked on the couch for two straight days.
