From the sports world:
What I ab-so-freaking-lutely loathe is when sports "journalists" ask the player/coach etc.: Talk about... blahblahblah...

Hello!?! Mr/Ms. "Journalist" ask a freakin' question! That's why you're getting paid- to ask good questions!

"In his/her wheelhouse." WTF? (Common usage: "That shot is right in J.J.'s wheelhouse." How about: "that's a high percentage shot for..."?

A-holes who yell: "GET IN THE HOLE!" when someone is teeing off on Par 4/5 holes. I wish the golfer would yell back: "GET THE #$%^ OUTTA' HERE A-HOLE!"

From my wife (who is fluent in "Xerox-speak"):
"Out of pocket" instead of "away from the office" or, busy with an appointment.

"Webinar" in HUGE in Xeroxland.

I hate webinar.

I make that observation about idiot golf spectators all the time - 525 yrd par 5 and and some yahoo is screaming 'get in the hole' as the golfer tees off. Honorable mention to every idiot in a car who drives by any golf course opens the window and screams "FORE" ... double bonus when they laugh hysterically like they are the first humans to think up such a clever thing.

Special thanks to one of my co-workers for reminding me (by raising an eyebrow and saying Double U Tee Eff):

typing LOL, WTF, ROFLMAO, IMHO is fine....
Speaking them ought to be a capital crime.

Umm, No. If you need to ask, I don't need to listen.

"I know, right?"

This makes me want to reach out and hurt someone.

"Nom nom nom"

Ugh, please virtually eat with your virtual mouth closed.

I do have to admit that the other day, I heard someone say they were "roffling," and it made me LOL. ;)

It is what it is, and no problem.

My mother heard/read somewhere that "no problem" actually indicates it was a problem but your brushing it off. Has anyone else heard that?

If I'm asked the question above or, its variant, "Can I ask you a question". I always respond with the following:

Here are my pet peeves:

"At the end of the day"

"Basically" peppered throughout sentences

and the one that annoys me the most: "Gotcha," rather than, "I understand." :whipped:

I often substitute both with "whatever". It's fun and it pisses people off.

F*#k or any variant.
And I'm guilty..but not happily guilty. I've been much better about the use of the F word in the last few years...it really adds little to any conversation, and often takes away from it. F has it's place, and it's time, but F does not have it's place ALL of the time.
