I like lemon too, but you are opening uncharted territory with some of these products. Lemon scented trash bags?!? Lemon scented paper towels?!? I never heard of such things. Bless their hears, what will they think of next?CathyCA wrote:I didn't know that Tootsie Rolls came in a flavor other than chocolate. Tootsie Pops, yes, but Tootsie Rolls?
I like lemon. I use lemon scented trash bags, lemon scented candles, lemon scented Pine Sol, lemon scented paper towels, lemon scented 409, lemon scented Ajax, lemon scented Joy, lemon scented Cascade, Lemon Mist air freshener. . . Lemon is my scent of choice.

I like for all of my household cleaning products to have the same scent.

I like the lemon-flavored Tootsie Rolls. Lime are okay, but vanilla is better. Not as good as chocolate, of course.
Cathy, I read somewhere that the dishwashing detergents with lemon can wreak havoc with silverware. The only logical explanation I can come up with is that the lemon makes it more acidic.

Actually, lemons are alkaline. You would think they would be acidic, but I was turned on to this fact many years ago and the following tip may sound gross but it actually works. When you are feeling like you are run down and getting ready to get sick (your body is in an acidic state), so by drinking the juice from three lemons, I have found that this creates a balance in your body and neutralizes the acidic content with the alkaline flush and it enables your body to fight those germs much better. It works for me and several others that I've shared the thought with and the juice goes down pretty quick and isn't as gross as you might think, plus you get nice lemon smelling breath!!!! You might be able to blow in the puppy's face also!!!ArkieDukie wrote:... The only logical explanation I can come up with is that the lemon makes it more acidic.

Nope - the pH of lemons is 2.2. That's acidic.cl15876 wrote:Actually, lemons are alkaline. Interesting! Caused me to go search for more information. Here is the initial link that show a table of Alkaline and Acidic Food. http://www.energiseforlife.com/list_of_ ... _foods.php Then I went looking for more information and this link confirms your point about the acidic aspects of lemon juice in its original state, but also confirms what I was saying about it turning alkaline when metabolized by the body. http://nh1.ccone.com/ I appreciate your point as it made go searching a bit further, so you're probably right about the lemon and the silverware!ArkieDukie wrote:Nope - the pH of lemons is 2.2. Juices, citrus in particular, can contribute to thinning the enamel on one's teeth. Sodas fall into the same category for reducing the enamel on the teeth. Thinner enamel can = pain. The body doesn't replace enamel, but there are some products which help prevent the pain, certain toothpaste formulas, for examplecl15876 wrote: Interesting!
