breakfast: mixed cereals, blueberries and skim milk. Large cup of dark roast coffee before anything else.
lunch: I'm workin' on it. Got to select something suitable for someone of somewhat shorter stature.

If you'd consider another "breakfast," might I suggest the "short stack" of pancakes. Just be sure you have the shortbread for dessert. :roll:Devil in the Blue Dress wrote:breakfast: mixed cereals, blueberries and skim milk. Large cup of dark roast coffee before anything else.

Re: What's for Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner?
lunch: a chicken soft taco and some nachos, both items with a handful of lettuce, a couple scoops of salsa, a dollop of sour cream and some shredded cheese. A couple unsweet teas to wash it all down with a 1/2 brownie and a large CCC cookie for dessert. I did go for a "short" walk before and after lunch.

Lunch was a smaller, simpler menu today. Pimento cheese sandwich on toasted honey wheat bread, glass of water with Meyer lemon juice, half of a large Pink Lady apple.

I love pimento cheese. I'm the only in my family who does, but that means more for me. It also is great as a grilled sandwich.Devil in the Blue Dress wrote:Lunch was a smaller, simpler menu today. Lunch was reheated, frozen fried ride from Trader Joe's. It wasn't that great - they make it with dark meat chicken. Blech.

Supper: grilled Adell's chicken and apple sausage, Zataran's cheddar and broccoli rice, sliced small homegrown fresh tomato, baby green peas, skim milk

I love it too...grew up on it. My mother and grandmother both make excellent pimento cheese. I also like Ruth's, the kind you can just buy in the tub in the supermarket.CameronBornAndBred wrote:I love pimento cheese. I'm the only in my family who does, but that means more for me. El Paso sandwich, courtesy of the 24-hour greasy spoon I went to as a kid (and to this day) in several places along the Grand Strand:
pimento cheese
thick tomato slice
jalapenos
bacon
All grilled on Texas toast. Phenomenal.

I've enjoyed that combination, too... except for the jalapenos.wilson wrote:I love it too...grew up on it. My mother and grandmother both make excellent pimento cheese. Dinner: home fries made with a Yukon Gold potato and about 1/3 of a Vidalia onion, two eggs over medium-light, each served on half a toasted English muffin.
Hearty and filling, but not overwhelming. Really hit the spot.

Dinner: Bojangles AGAIN. This time I didn't have a choice, unless I didn't want to eat before our game. I got a grilled chicken sandwich for the first time. Four out of the last five days have been Bojangles.

Speaking of food, is the DBR workout group still running, or did it die a slow, painful death. I haven't been over there in a while.
