Back from weeding.....Are you familiar with Ear Pins? They're an interesting design for pierced ears. These could be gorgeous.....http://www.amazon.com/DiamonUltra-trade ... 018&sr=1-2 Amazon.com also has some interesting ear cuffs.windsor wrote: We do have a Steinmart...hadn't thought of looking there but they do have great costume jewelry...I'm also looking on overstock.com (one of my favorite places!) and will keep my eyes open for the perfect earings. Nice round diamonique would be awesome...maybe a diamonique/saphire combo...hmmmm...
The shoes are actually navy (the mesh part) and gold - the nave mesh has a gold threading running through it. They are awesome shoes.
I tried on silver ones I had with the dress and didn't like the flash of silver when the dress moved - these shoes are more subtle but still elegant (I'm going for elegant - I may miss...but that's the aim!)

One is work...... weeding the flower beds around the house before I got for my 90 minute massage.
The other is play, fun..... windsor's planning her outfit for a wedding.

Yea, I agree on the necklace. The only necklace I could see looking good with that dress would be a plain Omega. My wife has a lovely one we bought in New Orleans when we went to my big brother's (fraternity brother) wedding. Our parting gift from THAT particular wedding was our first son. ;) All our kids are "wedding" babies. My wife has told me she thanks God every day that pretty much all our friends are married.

I don't know if that would go with the dress though. We were trying to coordinate with the dress.devildeac wrote:A slide or two on that would be nice, also. ;)bjornolf wrote:Yea, I agree on the necklace. Re: New Dress!
I have a similar necklace (that necklace is BE-U-tiful by the way) and it fights with neckline on the dress....
will continue to 'quest' for earings....
There will absolutely be pictures after the event. Maybe before if I feel like playing with hairstyles and take some.

Oh, it's just GREAT! So classy. Glad you decided to skip the necklace. Less is definitely more with this one. You want folks to see YOU wearing the dress not the dress and jewelry wearing you.You definitely won't be the typical mother-of-the-groom wearing beige and sitting in the corner.
I'm jealous. I always have to cover up my arms. You and our First Lady are lucky ducks to have arms you can show off.
Love, Ima

I love the dress.
Are you going to wear the bracelet on the wrist opposite the strap over the shoulder? I think if you do, it will extend the line. But hey, I'm no Stacy London.

Wow...never thought about that...I would probably have naturally put it on my right wrist, which is the one opposite the the over the shoulder...

Beautiful dress and shoes windsor!!!! Can't wait to the see the pics!!!! Similar to Oz, Pearls crossed my mind also white initially, but then those pretty black ones occurred to me. I'm also thinking silver and sapphire which could add a subtle, but noticeable bling!

Great dress, windsor, and great shoes! I agree with all who have voted for no necklace. Good luck with the quest for the perfect earrings - I'm sure the right ones will show up soon.

I agree with the "no necklace" crowd. I think you will shine with understated elegance especially since you love the dress.

Re: New Dress!
I think Coco Chanel once said before you leave the house, remove 2-3 accessories. Less is sometimes more. Since you have a very active neckline in terms of the trim on the dress, a necklace would be over the top.

Good, I was going to suggest that you have your make-up done by a pro, too. I was just looking at some pics of me a few years ago from a big shindig we went to. I had my hair and face done and I am still impressed at how good I looked....if I do say so myself...and I just did
