I didn't realize Maggio had been injured in the offseason. He got smacked in the head with a softball and it broke his jaw. This article has more on it, but he lost a lot of weight and is still not back fully. (Obviously).

I appreciate this additional information. That sort of injury and weight loss can sidetrack all sorts of things requiring strength and skill.

The David Cutcliffe show is on at 9:30...I'll be watching, but it would be more fun if we had better stuff to see from last week. :ymtongue:

I don't. Am thinking about calling TWC to get it added. Any thoughts on the benefits of paying for the channel other than for today's game?

CBS College Sports is a digital channel on Time Warner here. Don't know what other games they'll carry, but going to digital adds lots of possibilities for TV viewing.

I ran across a listing for "Kickoff with Coach K" yesterday. I thought that was a little weird, and that it may have something to do with Duke's football game being at Army this week. Upon mashing the "Info" button, however, I was informed that "Coach K" in this case is Steve Kragthorpe, head football coach at Louisville.

I have digital, just wondering if it's worth it to add this channel.

If it doesn't come with the digital package I'd say no, you are only likely to see Duke once on it. Right now they have some high school football game on that channel...so unless you are real sports nut....

I ordered the package. Will get to watch some tennis, and Big 10 football. Which I am kind of excited about.

It's halftime.... a rough first half. Youth, inexperience and bad breaks continue to plague us, but by the end of the half our defense is beginning to be able to disrupt Army's offense a bit. The missed field goal by Army after Duke's defense derailed an offensive drive should be a boost for our team going into halftime.

Looking at other games which started at 12 noon... Wake's getting pushed around by Sanford and the ailing Carolina team has not yet scored against UConn.

Can you believe that????? The same guy intercepts TWO passes and runs for touchdown each time!!!!! He's outscored Army! Let's hear it for Leon Wright! This is the guy I remember for the way when he was a freshman.

Those that watched and listened saw too much of last week in the first quarter, it was depressing. But we became a different team today. It wasn't because of Renfree, although it was great to see him do so well. We began to move the ball long before he came in, and then we got rid of the mistakes. We created opportunities for ourselves, and our defense was awesome. CONGRATS DEVILS!!!!!! WOOOHOOOOO!!!!

I really liked how the Duke team stood respectfully behind the Army team for the Alma Mater. Classy group of kids and couches.

Way to go Devils! Great win. I was on the golf course since I couldn't/didn't get the game on TV, and only started listening just after we went up 14-10. Is Renfree our new starting QB next week? Or will it still be Lewis? Time, and Cutcliffe, will tell.

So happy for Leon Wright. He's been our best CB tackler since he was a freshman, and now his cover skills are catching up. To get back to back pick 6 (TD) interceptions to seal the win is great!
