I checked out grocery stores in the new neighborhood via the 'net. By chain the three closest to me are:

1) Kroger
2) Kroger
3) Kroger

Kroger is HQ'd in Cincinnati...I'm sure that has something to do with it. FWIW, the Krogers around here, generally speaking, aren't bad stores at all.

Kroger is HQ'd in Cincinnati...I'm sure that has something to do with it. FWIW, the Krogers around here, generally speaking, aren't bad stores at all.

The Kroger near me, which is the closet grocery store, sucks! As do some of the people who work there. I tend to shop at the Harris Teeter up the road, but if I need one or two items, I'll stop at Kroger.

Although, I do like Kroger peanut butter. Throatybeard turned me onto Kroger PB and he did not disappoint. It's better than the name brands, IMHO.
