OK, I'll play. Skipped breakfast (usually instant oatmeal or a naner if I have time).

Lunch was from Primo's Hoagies (a chain in PA / NJ / DE). I went with their "Abruzzi" (sp?): roast pork, sharp provolone, broccoli rabe, and ordered the long hot peppers as an extra, all on a crusty long roll. Also had a pickle, diet pop, and one of those Little Debbie oatmeal pie thingies. I would seriously consider running off with Little Debbie if only she'd have me... :-$ x_x

Off to have supper at the in-laws; don't know we're having until I get there...

Dinner: Homemade chicken soup. Kelly had a crown replaced today and she's not up to anything solid so I'm busting out soup from scratch. You got yer standard mirepoix, then leeks, parsnips, a whole head of garlic halved, fresh thyme and parsley, some cracked peppercorns and a roasted chicken carcass for the stock. It smells great in the house. I gotta go wake the patient!

Breakfast: Coffee
Lunch: The Sunrise burger at Marty Nessley's Sunrise Grill in Cary. That's the burger with the fried egg on it! Delish! Also had lettuce, tomato, grilled onions, cheddar cheese and ketchup on it. Ymm! And the fries were pretty good - some of them had some cajun seasoning on them, some didn't. That was interesting.

Marty was on vacation; he didn't tell the wait staff where he was going, saying "don't call me if there are any problems!"

Don't know about dinner yet.

It was extremely tasty! :-bd
Although, it was probably a simpler version than what you saw on the internet. Just the bacon, sauce, and bread (I think) -- but still awesome!

Seriously, it was the Mornay that sealed the deal for me in the recipe. Of course the bacon doesn't hurt, but i think it's the Mornay that makes me envy you.

Man that's okay on the dinner. Sometimes you gotta slum it. Every once in a while I'll get the craving for some beefaroni or ravioli by Chef Boyardee.

Make up for it tonight by having a lovely piece of tuna.

Were the Doritos served in a ramekin? If so, I think the health factor goes up on the meal. :D

I now live in the land of Hot Browns. Sadly, Hot Browns are now off my list of foods I can eat.

FWIW, Bobby Flay did an amazing Hot Brown throwdown. :-bd
