Lunch: BK double cheeseburger and a Jr. Whopper (no cheese, no mayo ) and a diet Coke. Hey, lay off, they were $1 each and I'll walk an extra 2 miles today.

That sounds like more of a diet meal to go with a diet drink.Lavabe wrote:Sandwich of grilled chicken in Hot BBQ Sauce, cauliflower, diet Caffeine free Pepsi, and some almonds.CameronBornAndBred wrote:Well, at least you had a diet Coke.devildeac wrote:Lunch: BK double cheeseburger and a Jr. Whopper (no cheese, no mayo ) and a diet Coke. Lunch today is fried spring rolls and grilled steak cubes with jasmine rice at the local Vietnamese restaurant.

Re: What's for Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner?
I only passed the triglycerides (I borrowed the notes from devildeac before taking that test). Overall cholesterol wasn't good, HDL could be much better, but the bad one was LDL... 171. I think I need some Roto-rooter for my blood vessels.ArkieDukie wrote:Ugh. In lieu of Roto-Rooter, I'll be on Zocor.
On the bright side, I have great blood pressure, and I don't have diabetes.

The HDL can be raised with:
1. smoking cessation
2. a regular exercise program
3. medication AND...
4. mild/moderate alcohol consumption (I'm talkin' 1-2 drinks/day and no, folks, that's not one 750 ml bottle of wine/beer or a fifth of liquor per day  )
