Vibes needed for a cousin

Post by DukeUsul » August 19th, 2009, 9:00 am

I'm putting out a CTN request for vibes for my wife's cousin.

My wife's aunt passed away this weekend, very surprisingly, at the age of 54. It's quite a tragic story for her son. The father, Bruce, passed away maybe 7 or 8 years ago. Son Michael, aged 15 or 16 at the time, was the one who found him dead of a heart attack in the home. This past weekend, the son was the one who found his mom dead of a heart attack in the living room. He's about 23 now and has been lacking direction every since his dad passed. Hasn't gone to school and doesn't have a job. He's just lived at home and done nothing. Now both his parents are gone. His grandparents are still alive in their 80s and live nearby. Plus he has my wife's family about an hour away. The young man is going to need a lot of help to figure things out.

Please send him some vibes and prayers.

Oh my. That poor young man. I send him vibes and hope that he manages to find his way to a good path in this world.

Wow...this is the sort of thing that helps me remember how blessed I am.
Lots of things to address, but remember, it's never too late for school.
Usul, you're gonna need to really be there for him.

Lots of vibes and prayers.

:ymhug: :ympray:

He'll have O:-) up there looking after him, hopefully helping him out.

Maybe you could be his O:-) and step in with a little male guidance?

I'd really like to, but I live 8 hours away. My wife's brother lives near to him and my father-in-law has been helping him out. My FIL just bought a shore house about 15 minutes away from Maryann and Michael. He's been hiring Michael to do lots of fixing up of the house. I think it's been good for him. I imagine they'll continue to watch out for him.

What a tragedy.

I'll say a special prayer on his behalf. Hugs to you and your wife as you all grieve the loss of her aunt.

DU, vibes from PA. How tragic. But it sounds like you have a tight family and can help the youngster find a path to follow...

Thanks for all the vibes, peeps and lovelies. It was a tough few days, but everyone is figuring out how to get through it. My FIL took my wife's cousin out kayaking for a couple of hours and they had a long talk. The kid still has a lot to work through, but it sounds like he has a plan (community college for an associates with plans to become a cop) and my FIL will be nearby and be helping to guide him. My biggest worry was that he didn't have the motivation to go out and do something but it sounds like his mother was actually holding him back from doing anything... so now his problem is dealing with the guilt he must be feeling for being mad at her for holding him back and that little sliver of relief he's experiencing without her.

Thanks for all the thoughts.

This is (mostly) good to hear. A plan on his part is, I think, a very good sign that he'll pull through and find his path. Continued vibes.
