Johnson is interestingly the only transfer on that listed still "entered" and not committed/enrolled. He took a visit to A&M over the weekend.devildeac wrote: ↑January 9th, 2024, 8:18 amAccording to the transfer portal tracker on The Devil's Den, the Brandon Johnson ship has sailed to Midnight Mike's new stop:

Re: Duke Football 2024 - Diaz Dawning
DFB sent out the following in an email this morning.
Dear Blue Devils Fans,
Fresh off another bowl victory, Duke Football and new Head Coach Manny Diaz are excited to announce that season tickets (new and renewals) are one sale now for the 2024 campaign. Season tickets start at just $145, averaging less than $25/game, making it the best deal in the triangle to catch ACC football. This years schedule will include six total home games against North Carolina, Florida State, Virginia Tech, SMU, Elon and UConn. While the full schedule with dates won't be released until later this month, Duke fans can get a head start and lock in your season tickets for this fall.
Fans that place your order today will be eligible for one of four special prizes which will be awarded to the 50th, 100th, 150th and 200th account to purchase tickets throughout the day (1/16/24). Winners will be posted on @DukeFootball social media and contacted directly by the Duke Athletics Department.
Tickets can be purchased online at GoDuke.com/Footballtix or by calling the Duke Athletics Ticket Office at (919) 681-2583. Good luck and we can't wait to see you at Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium this fall.

Brandon Johnson is going to Oregon. Best of luck to him.
We picked up an FCS All-American ILB from Princeton, Ozzie Nicholas, and a DL from Liberty, Kenny Charles.

Re: Duke Football 2024 - Diaz Dawning
Kickoff for the season is a Friday Nighter. Usually I'd be less than thrilled, but Labor Day Weekend is always an exception. (Actually, Julie will be happy since that's our anniversary weekend and now we get to spend at least two days of it together.)
https://goduke.com/news/2024/1/22/footb ... pener.aspxAs announced by the Atlantic Coast Conference on Monday afternoon, Duke will host Elon in its season opener at Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium on Friday, August 30.
The game will mark Duke's sixth season opener at home over its last 10 seasons with the Blue Devils holding a 5-0 ledger during that stretch.

Re: Duke Football 2024 - Diaz Dawning
Using the bye weeks as dividers, the season breaks down into three segments of six, four and two games.
Segment 1: Elon, @Northwestern, UConn, @MTSU, Carolina, @Georgia Tech
With all four non-conference games in this segment it is imperative we jump out to a fast start. We need to win four or five games out of the six.
Segment 2: FSU, SMU, @Miami, @NC State
This middle segment is tough so going 2-2 would be good. I really want six wins in the books when this segment is complete.
Segment 3: Virginia Tech, @Wake Forest
Hopefully, we’re playing to improve our bowl game options at this point. These are two toss up games that could go either way. If we are still looking for win number six, better to take care of business at home. I don’t desire to head to Winston-Salem needing to win.

Good analysis, Bob. Kinda early and, all Ozzie-isms of 16-0 or 17-0 aside, what's your final regular season prediction?Bob Green wrote: ↑January 25th, 2024, 4:57 pmUsing the bye weeks as dividers, the season breaks down into three segments of six, four and two games.

That sounds like a good bet, although I'm withholding since everything is too new. I'm optimistic, though!

I'd be happy with that, as long as there are 8 honest refs on the field when we play the cheats. Nah, who am I kidding (effing acc).
