NCAA Tournament 2023
Coach K delivered the "commencement" address, which was aired today. What an amazing speech and kick off to the tourney.

I guess UVa shouldn't have been a 4th seed after all.

What an amazing choke job. I had actually switched games when UVA was up with 20 seconds and Clark was going to the line to shoot. Figured it was over. Saw the final score in the banner of the other game, and had to go back to see how the hell they managed to fuck that up so badly.
Good lord. that was a clinic on how not to close a game.

I really feel bad for that kid from UVA. Talk about “you let the whole team down.” One fuck-up at a critical time, and you’re gone.CameronBornAndBred wrote: ↑March 16th, 2023, 3:11 pmWhat an amazing choke job. No tears shed over the uva loss, especially after the absolute hose job in Charlottesville this year.CameronBornAndBred wrote: ↑March 16th, 2023, 3:11 pmWhat an amazing choke job. Fairleigh Dickinson, enjoy another night in Columbus. They made Purdue look really bad.

That game was amazing! Unlike UVA, Purdue was always in this, FDU simply never folded.
SO MUCH FUN!

Poor Bobby. Great game that they should have won. They fell apart at the wrong time. (Literally the last minute)

Re: NCAA Tournament 2023
That officiating was as dreadful and dishonest as the shit we were dealt vs uconvicts in 2004 and usc in greenville in 2017.

Re: NCAA Tournament 2023
Duke women make it look easy, winning by 40 over Iona. The starters all took a seat with about 8 minutes left, and the third string came in with three to go.
Next game (time TBD) is against 6 seed Colorado, who is a really good team.

Yes. TN played thugball, and somehow we got called for more fouls.

This shit set the tone for the entire game. Not calling that piece of shit goon for an f1 or f2 for an intentional foul is simply dreadful, dishonest ass reffing.

Duke plays tonight on ESPNU at 9.
I'll be curled up with my blanket and pillow in Section 21 chatting and watching.

Duke lost in OT to Colorado, so the season is over.
Two silver linings. First, Carolina's season ended before ours, even if by only a couple hours. Second, the future is very bright. Duke has a top 5 class coming in, and we're likely to pick up an addition or two in the portal if Coach Kara feels the need.

After processing this for a bit, I agree. But that was a big loss. It was an enthusiastic crowd with a big bunch of loud students. Sending them home empty-handed was really, really unfortunate. It was a lost opportunity to make a big impression.CameronBornAndBred wrote: ↑March 21st, 2023, 10:00 amDuke lost in OT to Colorado, so the season is over.

With that said, I absolutely agree about the trajectory. But we're going to have to have some players who step up. We're losing Celeste and Elizabeth, and they were the most consistent players on the entire team. I hope the portal mining works, and that the freshmen are able to adjust quickly to college play. We are a ways away from having the year-to-year continuity we'd like, but the rebuild continues and the potential is there.

Re: NCAA Tournament 2023
UCONN sucks but yay Dan Hurley.
But only because of your last name.
Because your team still sucks. They can be champions next year, and after, but they will always suck.
Good spirit, SDSU.
