I believe the team will scrimmage today but I can’t find confirmation anywhere. Hopefully, GoDuke.com will have coverage up later this weekend.

All eyes on QB1 battle.

The Preseason AP Poll has been released. Here's where things stand, with one fifth of the poll occupied by ACC teams. Duke plays three of the top 25.

#4 Clemson
#13 NCSU
#16 Miami
#17 Pitt
#22 Wake Forest

Miami is the last October game with Pitt and Wake Forest the last two games in November. Second half of season is tougher than the first half so getting off to a fast start is paramount.

Coach Elko on the scrimmage:

The quarterback position and ability to pass downfield keeps me awake at night.

Riley Leonard had his best practice of fall camp per this article:

Excellent! I admit that I open each of these posts with trepidation, fearing to read "Lenny Linebacker broke his toe today". :-s

Inconsistent performance from the wide receivers:

https://duke.rivals.com/news/blue-devil ... ort-part-8

Seems to me Riley Leonard is moving ahead of Jordan Moore in the QB1 battle but my opinion is based on incomplete information.

I really hope that Elko picks his guy and sticks with him, at least until it's proven that things aren't working. Whether that's Riley or Jordan, I just want to know that the starter is in it for the long haul. I have no interest in seeing 2 QBs. Again.

I agree wholeheartedly. The two QB system is dysfunctional.
