It didn't bother me playing golf, but the golf itself, in the words of a big tall bball announcer we all hate (Bill Walton), it was "hooorrrrible!" Boo awful.

For many years I have gotten a deep, wretching cough once or twice a year that would last 1-2 weeks. My previous doctor prescribed what he called “big boy cough medicine” ( contains hydrocodone) to make it stop. The last time this happened was December 2019, BC (before Covid-19). Until this past weekend when I started coughing. So this morning I took a home test and I’m negative! I’m very relieved!

I have a new favorite deputy. One of our shift lieutenants got hurt on the job, and workers comp being what it was, he decided to take his care into his own hands and went to Duke Orthopedics.

Monday he had a hearing with workers comp, and the WC attorney was questioning him about a delay in surgery that occurred at the end of March/beginning of April. Mitchell told him the surgeon was affiliated with Duke basketball, and traveled with the team to the Final Four.

When the hearing was over, the WC attorney said, "I graduated from (sheep u) so I was glad the way your season ended." Mitchell's reply? "Figures the assholes from workers comp would hire an asshole from (sheep u)."

I'll have to pick up some swag for him at a football game this year.
