Wow, not sure that phrase has ever been uttered before!

Herschel is a problematic candidate for many reasons. But he is a UGA Dawg icon, and the GOP thinks that he he can peel some of the African-American vote from Warnock. Republicans are not looking for style points, they just want to win.

Way too early to get a read. Warlock has brought home a lot of bacon. Warnock would clean Herschel’s clock in any debate if Walker really goes through with one (I am doubtful). But it’s a tough year to be running as a Democrat. Between that race, and the gubernatorial race between Kemp and Abrams, the amount of money that will be poured into this state over the next five months staggers the mind. And the looming threat that Trump tries to torpedo Kemp, which could dampen Rep turnout, has a long way to play out.

It would be interesting if it wasn’t so personally serious for our state.

To say that she is dumb as a box of rocks is insulting to the rocks. If Georgians can elect someone this ill equipped to serve, it makes me fear that they will send Herschel Walker to the Senate.

To be fair to the rest of us, MTG’s district is in the Q-Anon hills of very Northwest Georgia.

And yeah, Herschel can certainly win. The Dems really need something positive between now and November to avoid defeat.

Paul Ryan addressed the rise of the entertainer politician recently. And sadly, he's right. These folks are far more interested in putting on a show for social media and opinionated news programs than they are in governing. And as he points out, it actually does affect both parties...see the progressive wing of the Democrats for all the proof you need.

If the Republicans take over Congress this fall it is going to be non-stop. I think they are already getting the cases ready. Because their sole purpose in life is to stick it to the libs, not to make America great. And the whataboutisms will be completely out of control.

Regarding your post about Herschel (I don't know how to respond to two posts at once here), I wonder if someone has told him that he has a better chance of winning the general election in Georgia without Trump than with him so is easing his way out of that relationship. Trump seems to have a pretty lousy track record lately in Georgia. So perhaps Herschel is not as dumb as we think he is.

Love the article, scared by the prospect of Herschel being elected, and I am praying it doesn't happen. It basically amounts to voting for Trump as the Senator from Georgia.

That being said, unless I am reading it wrong and the joke is on me, it is somewhat ironic that the author is making fun of Herschel's intellect yet misuses "accessing" instead of "assessing" in the first sentence...
