I told those in chat last night, that next week I have an interview for a judgeship coming open in Henry County/Martinsville/Patrick County. Interview is in Richmond next Tuesday. Vibes, prayers, good wishes, whatever ya got, I'd appreciate.

(In Virginia judges are appointed by the General Assembly, a procedure that is something good and sometimes screamworthy. The other person invited to interview had the local delegate as the best man at his wedding, so I have no illusions about this interview, but maybe it will mean good things for me down the road.)

A beautiful morning indeed! And it’s Christmas extended - we’re going to Smithfield and bringing the kids’ Christmas presents to give them. Due to weather, travel, Duke games and non-Covid illnesses, we haven’t seen them since early November.
