This outing, we'll be going with the classic Backyard Griller Menu, featuring burgers, grilled chicken sandwiches, and hot dogs paired with full fixins bar.

Last Saturday's dogs were OK but Costco's are significantly better. Nina told me that and she hopes we go back to the Costco's. She is always right.

We will bring a platter of lettuce, sliced tomatoes and sliced onions to go on the burgers and chicken sammiches.

CathyCA and JontheMethodist will be there! And guess what? We were in Lawrence when Kansas played its spring football game this year. We've already met some of the Kansas players and their parents. Our middle daughter got married at the Oread Hotel in Lawrence which overlooks the KU football field. We kept asking everyone what "Rock, chalk, Jayhawk" meant, and no one knew.

Is it too late for a bunch of noobs to sign up? It took awhile for us to decide, but it's predicted to be such a great day and I'd like to meet you folks from the forums. It would be me, my wife, and my middle son. I've tried to convince my daughter to come to the game, too, but for now we will assume she won't make the tailgate. We'll contribute $$ for the cookie jar unless I can get my act together for a dessert.
