Sour Sherbet-Edmund’s Oast Brewing Company

Regional

Credit-trader from fuse last week; thanks!!
Style-like the name says…
Delivery container-pint can
Stemware-large wine glass

Nose-raspberry vinegar?
Mouthfeel-rather puckery
Tastes-fresh squeezed lemon lime orangeade with a splash of raspberry juice

IBU-perhaps 10
ABV-6.5%
Overall impression-interesting concoction; fooled a bit with “sherbet” in the name but very pleasant to sip for a “pseudo” dessert late last PM
Ymm, Beer rating-low cat 3; might have been my first Edmund Oast brew and I’ll purchase others based on this and my distant memories of some TW reviews

ABV-6.2% but drank like 9%
Overall impression-this is why their Cellar Door Series 1 and 2 were soooooo good
Ymm, Beer rating-high cat 3; one of the better barrel aged sours I’ve ever tasted; call your gall Stella or go to your local Tripping Wine big box store and buy a litter or three of this one

Batting in the second spot was:

Manila Mango (draft)-Salty Turtle Beer Company

Milkshake session IPA with mangoes, vanilla and lactose.

Appearance was even more cloudy than Hey Zay with a hints of orange and amber hues blended with the pineapple-yellow. The mango aromas and flavors did not disappoint as vanilla, pineapple and guava played supporting roles. Very mild bitterness with IBUs estimated at 30 and the AVB at 5.6%. A beer smoothie!
Manila Mango (draft)-Salty Turtle Beer Company

From just over the other side of the bridge.

Credit-older son in law; thanks!!
Style-labeled NEIPA but 2 years ago this was a milkshake IPA; :man_shrugging:
Format-crowler shared throughout the evening after VP and dinner
Stemware-snifters
Appearance-opaque yellow; moderate head
Nose-a tropical fruit salad delight
Mouthfeel-juicy
Tastes-underripe mango, papaya, guava and a splash of pineapple
Adjuncts-only mango, I think
IBU-30s?
ABV-6.1%
Overall impression-very nice “finishing” lower ABV brew to sip on a couple 8 ounce portions as I cleaned up and read my beach book over a couple hours last PM
Ymm, Beer rating-upper cat 2; nothing from Salty Turtle has stunned me but they serve good beers
