I played great for 9 holes yesterday, just like 10 years ago. Bogeyed the first three holes and then six straight pars for a 38 on the front! First time under 40 in 2 or 3 years! Then, the current me returned and I shot 50 on the back. Same player, same swing thoughts but totally different results. Ugh. But the 88 was the first time under 90 this year, so there’s that, and I won $20 with my team. And the 38 felt great, just like old times. Wish the feeling had lasted another 9 holes.

The Rev LG and I have joined Maple Chase Country Club in Winston-Salem. He has started playing golf on Thursdays with the retired guys from church, and has ordered new clubs.

I will hopefully get fitted for new clubs this week. I got the clubs I have while I was still at Duke, and I can't exactly buy women's lefthanded clubs any old place. I've found myself spending time at the driving range quite a bit recently. Played once with my buddies.
