Style-ummm
Format-12 ounce can (might be the first time for this variant in aluminum cylinders); a steal (figuratively) at Wegmans for $11.99/4 pack
Sipping vessel-Stella snifter
Appearance-very, very dark brown; moderate foamy head after a vigorous pour
Nose-booze, java and baker's chocolate
Mouthfeel-wait for it, sexual
Tastes-bourbon, espresso and semisweet morsels along with some molasses, wood, burnt caramel and char
Adjuncts-cocoa and coffee
IBU-memory says about 75 (FWIW)
ABV-9.6% (too low for accfan and too stout for Nrrrrvous so more for me )
Overall impression-great combination/nightcap
Ymm, Beer rating-middle third of the top shelf; delighted to find this at the above price, sharing a 4 pack with our son and younger son in law and keeping 4

Overall impression-high quality stuff here; I believe Nrrrrvous, RJ199 and accfan will greatly appreciate this one if they haven't already

IBU-probably 50
ABV-11.5% (dangerous)
Overall impression-terrific combination of barrel aging and the two adjuncts
Ymm, Beer rating-mid cat 3; very well executed; looking forward to the other 2 remaining variants, one of which is in a snifter now

Nose-pine and orange; definitely NOT pinesol

Tastes-pine, orange liqueur, resin, rind
Hops-Nugget, Warrior, Tomahawk, Simcoe and Palisade (some varieties I've not tasted in years)

ABV-7.5%
Overall impression-not many imperial ambers but this one has many pleasant, old memories
Ymm, Beer rating-low cat 3; a classic and certainly worth a can or a 6er for trading/sharing

Overall impression-outstanding sour; even Mrs. dd took a couple sips and said "not bad"

Adjuncts-tangerine, pineapple, OJ, non dairy vanilla soft serve, vanilla salt and Madagascar vanilla beans
IBU-less than 10
ABV-10% (beer smoothie)
Vitamin C content-not given
Overall impression-Not. Beer. A fabulous, heavily fruited gose that'd make a great breakfast drink/cocktail
Ymm, Beer rating-mid cat 3; delicious; happy to have 2 more and some more of a different variant or two sequestered in RVA

Overall impression-excellent impression of a breakfast dessert

Style-probably shouldn't have to explain this one but "chocolate cake batter" is really on the label (oops, wrong thread but since when do titles matter)

Stemware-snifters
Appearance-20W50; no head
Nose-more dark chocolate than the milky stuff (ooh, I "smell" a new thread possibility) and bourbon
Mouthfeel-it ain't cake but it's thick (no, not 6'1" 175 lbs thick either)
Tastes-semisweet chocolate, bourbon, burnt caramel and coconut, pee-cahns, oak, vanilla and more bourbon
Adjuncts-(I think) vanilla, toasted coconut, cacao and perhaps cinnamon
IBU-87 (; no way)
ABV-12.2% (yes, way)
Overall impression-decadent; sinful; superb; no ovens, toasters, flour, spatulas, spoons or knives were harmed while enjoying this creation
Ymm, Beer rating-high cat 3; comparable to Hardywood's German Chocolate Cake Foolery (deeber knows foolery) and SPBC BBA Raisin Pecan Chocolate Pie

Mouthfeel-warming; surprisingly "soft"
Tastes-a caramel state fair apple soaked in bourbon, cinnamon, brandy, orange liqueur and toffee
Adjuncts-apple, cinnamon and natural caramel flavor
IBU-60
ABV-14.6% (stunning)
Overall impression-outstanding concoction/blending of aging and adjuncts
Ymm, Beer rating-upper tier cat 3, InBev be damned; an amazing sipper over about an hour becoming even more flavorful as it warmed

Overall impression-not many of these on the market and I rather enjoyed it and got lucky with the pairing
Ymm, Beer rating-upper cat 2, scoring a couple extra points on creativity and its 10% contribution to the real NC Zoo (an not the jackarses in chappaheeya)

ABV-4.9 %
Overall impression-the allspice (I think) likely gave it a slight astringency, detracting a bit but still a quality winter warmer
Ymm, Beer rating-upper cat 2; might have been a bit higher if the ABV was more typical for the style in the 6-8% range

Tastes-pineapple, peach, mango, tangerine, various rinds, honey
Adjuncts-none could be proven
Grains-pale malt and wheat
Hops-Citra and a bit of Loral Cryo
IBU-SWAG of 40

Overall impression-another wonderful New Anthem offering; previous reviewers (TW and RJ) were 110% on target
Ymm, Beer rating-solid mid cat 3; limited/rotating/one-off release likely precludes ever sipping again; if spotted again, would get a 4 pack

Overall impression-above average quality/tastes
Ymm, Beer rating-upper tier 2; stands out from "usual" IPAs but not that much

Overall impression-superb beverage worthy of the quoted price of $7-8/pint can; not a Veil "smoothie" beer but not meant to be
Ymm, Beer rating-middle tier cat 3; can't really agree it's a TIPA but it's a fantastic IIPA or NEDIPA; happy to have another can with the first 2 going to our son
