Preview #3: Hank the Dumpster Kitty-Listermann Brewing Company

A couple hours away from truly local when bought.

Credit-accfan's sister for getting him a high octane single bottle of something from this brewery and his subsequent review on Ymm, Beer
Style-NE DIPA
Format-another large aluminum tree is gone (but will be recycled next week)
Glassware-Hardywood teku
Appearance-hazy, unfiltered pineapple juice with a hint of amber; generous foam topping
Nose-pineapple orange
Mouthfeel-not quite as juicy as a Veil or Burial IPA/IIPA
Tastes-loads of pineapple, orange, tangerine, pith, zest and a bit of the mango they mention above but still wondering if I drank the same beer
Hops-Citra, Mosaic and El Dorado (on the can); Apollo mentioned above
IBU-none listed but probably about 40
ABV-8.1%
Overall impression-excellent combination of hops (in various forms mentioned above); approaches Veil and Burial territory
Ymm, Beer rating-low cat 3 easily; happy to have 3 more to trade soon
[redacted] them and the horses they rode in on.

Nuttin' 2it (draft)-Zaftig Brewing Company

This pecan brown ale was beer #4 in our flights.

Appearance was medium brown with a thin rim for a head. Smelled and tasted like a day old pecan pie that wasn't microwaved the day after Thanksgiving or Christmas. Lots of brown sugar sweetness and nutty goodness. IBUs probably about 30 and the ABV was a dangerous 10% ().
nuttin' 2it-Zaftig Brewing Company

Really local when bought.

Credit-a prior tasting from an excellent brewery and the need to complete my order
Style-pecan (imperial) brown ale
Format-a short aluminum tree cylinder
Stemware-snifter
Appearance-dark, dark brown with a thin, tan head
Nose-nutty
Mouthfeel-smooth
Tastes-nuts/pecans, dark caramel, herbal/earthy hops, hints of coffee and chocolate (neither added)
Hops-East Kent Goldings and Willamette
Adjuncts-peecans
IBU-estimated at 30
ABV-10% (whoa!)
Overall impression-tasty night cap, needing the high ABV after last night's loss
Ymm, Beer rating-high cat 2; I liked the Olde Hickory Acan better, but that was a tequila barrel aged brown ale; I think the other 3 recipients will still like this
