Diet Pepsi. Like Turk said about the sweetness of regular soda, I can tell when someone has slipped me one instantaneously.

Re: Favorite Cola
Diet Coke for me. "Regular" old fashioned Diet Coke. Coke Zero is nothing like Diet Coke and shouldn't be on the same line. And that Diet Coke version with Splenda is HORRIBLE.
Diet Dr. Pepper is also excellent.

Re: Favorite Cola
I switched to Diet Coke a few years back and now the taste of non-diet soda makes my teeth quiver. I'm really getting to the point where I can't stand soda at all. I'm with DA, gimme a beer and if that's not available I'll take a tall glass of water with a wedge of lemon please.

Re: Favorite Cola
I drink a lot of water now too. In restaurants, I only order water unless another beverage is included in the meal free. Note: I'm not including a beer or two if they serve beer and I want it, but I'll still have water with the meal. I can't see spending $1.50 or $2.00 for a Diet Coke or iced tea. It is amazing how much you cut your bill by ordering free water.

Squeeze of lemon manages to mask the odor and flavor of nasty tap water too.wilson wrote:Grad students figured this out a long time ago.OZZIE4DUKE wrote:I drink a lot of water now too. Re: Favorite Cola
Unless I am dying of dehydration (at which point Coke wins HANDS DOWN), I have to take the caffeine free versions, or else I don't sleep, and other neurological issues start happening.
Due to a variety of health issues, I don't go with full calorie stuff anymore, although it tastes better. Having said that, if I am slightly dehydrated (not emergent), FANTA pineapple is FANTASTIC... then again, that's a poll for another thread.
On the lemon-lime front: 7Up, Sierra Mist, Sprite, in that order. AGAIN... another poll.
Does anyone still like Fresca? Again... another poll.
Tab? Y/N? Another poll.

Re: Favorite Cola
I took the Pepsi challenge when I was in college, or rather the Diet Pepsi challenge as they were polling the diets. I chose Diet Coke, and have been a fan ever since. I usually order unsweet tea at restaurants as the water doesn't always taste very good, even with a lemon. It seems lately, the only time I drink a Diet Coke is when I'm really stressed at work, or I have a headache, at work.

Re: Favorite Cola
Diet Dr. Pepper, plain or cherry
Diet Coke, occasionally with lime for variety
Diet Cherry Coke
Diet Pepsi, wild cherry
Diet Mt. Dew for traveling as it has more caffeine than any of the above...
Regular soft drinks/sweet are just too sweet and have too many calories. I'd rather have those calories in ice cream and/or beer...

Re: Favorite Cola
Since we went off cola, Diet Mountain Dew uber alles. Then Diet Pepsi, Diet Sunkist, and Diet Dr. Pepper. I'll drink Diet Coke if served, but I won't be a happy camper.devildeac wrote:Diet Dr. Pepper, plain or cherry

Re: Favorite Cola
I can't believe I overlooked this thing. I'm slipping. Oops! Too late.
Back before I started into new cars, beverages were my thing. I've been inside many bottling plants, both Coca-Cola and Pepsi.
Given the choice, I'll take a Coke.
I don't do these drinks anymore.

Where can I find a Pineapple Fanta. That sounds great!Lavabe wrote:Unless I am dying of dehydration (at which point Coke wins HANDS DOWN), I have to take the caffeine free versions, or else I don't sleep, and other neurological issues start happening.
