I don't know what to expect, and honestly I've still not gotten all that excited about it, but like it or not, Duke is getting ready to play some football.
The only thing I know about this game is that we are going against the #10 team in the country, in front of 16,000 people stupid enough to think that showing up in a big gathering is a smart idea.
Clemson transfer Chase Brice is our named starter, hoping he lights up ND's backfield. I dunno, maybe he came to Duke because bubble screens are awesome.

Regardless of what happens on the field, we'll be in Section 21 for the first time in months, so that will be fun at least.

I’m looking forward to the game to see how we look. Finishing an 11 game season will be a challenge but one game at a time. See you all in Section 21.

Green Family Tailgate menu:

Wings of Fire
Brats
Sauerkraut
Cold beer

I’ll crank up some good tunes pregame. I leaning toward Deep Purple today: Hush, Smoke on the Water, Strange Kind of Woman.

I’m getting in the mood!

Looking forward to seeing Cut calling plays, Chase under center, and our young WR corps. Also our defense, which was good last year and (despite some losses) should be even better this year. Curious to see how our relatively unproven RBs look, and a little nervous about the O-Line (particularly Center).

I will be watching with a heavy heart. My good friend and fraternity brother, Skip "Buster" Heyman, passed away this morning after a relatively brief battle with cancer. He left the hospital (UVA, he lived in Va. Beach) on Thursday to be at home. Buster was one of the good ones. He did visit us at a couple of tailgates over the years, but not recently.

He was in DUMB as an undergrad and of course a huge Duke sports fan. I last saw him at the VT game at Duke 2 seasons ago. :((

Let's Go Duke! GTHc! 9F! Beat ND! Buster's rooting us all on! :9f:
