And yes, I got up extra early to wash my hair, so thanks for noticing. I even put on make-up!

Yes, Sue, those of us who are red leather deprived (and jealous) want to live vicariously through your jacket.

Very cute little boy. Awesome that he's better now. Congrats on that.

There was a very touching episode of the radio show "the Mike O'Meara Show" the other day. There might still be a podcast of it at www.themikeomearashow.com . Rob Spewak, their producer, who is a regular member of the cast, announced that his six year old son took his last pill last weekend, ending his four year battle with leukemia. I'd followed his family's growth over the years, as the guys on the show talk about their families a lot, but he'd refused to mention it all these years, not wanting to drag his family crisis into the spotlight. So it REALLY hit home. It's like finding out a family member had had cancer and you didn't know. It was so touching to hear him talking about the doctors and nurses and staff and how great they were, and how great his wife and daughter had been through all of it. They talked about it for almost an hour. Even had the oncologist on the show. It was really great. Just thought I'd share.

I keep being tempted by the 'I loathe spiders' thread. I'm terrified of them. I can't stand looking at pictures of them. It's worse than that really, I have nightmares sometimes after seeing pictures of them. I had to abandon the LTE on TBWSNBN for a couple of days. But still, there it sits, making me wonder what y'all are talking about over there. Anybody care to summarize for me? (WITHOUT PICTURES!)

There's a picture of a big, ugly spider. That's all you need to know!

I think that this post moves me up a level. Not sure, though; I don't have the 2 Posts Away from Whatever thread to help me out.

I've got it down on my calendar! I'm excited to meet the whole clan and Tilly too! I'm also recruiting devildeac, trying to lure him there with delicious brews that one can only obtain from local, left coast providers. Just gotta Sue out there now. :D
BD just needs to post the performance dates and keep us informed. It appears to be 6/6.

I finished the chapter, by the way. That's why I'm back. Only about 150 pages left to go in the editing phase, then it'll be ready to go out. Yea! :-bd

Congrats on finishing the chapter.

My evening consisted of a brief phone call w/ Tilly, another one w/ my mom, working until 7:30 (event), coming home & getting the mail whereupon I get a paper cut, and now a headache.

Is that a sign I should go to bed now?

Oh I did get a lovely letter in the mail today too. :) You know who you are. Very very nice of you.
