Duke at Middle Tennessee State
Duke currently a 5 point favorite in Vegas. Sagarin currently has Duke at #47 and MTSU at #97.

Re: Duke at Middle Tennessee State
I'm really looking forward to this game as it is our first test against a true "peer". We've gone from one extreme to the other, so it will be nice to be able to finally judge where we stand and take a guess at how the rest of the season may play out.
Interesting to see that it will be streamed on both ESPN3 and Facebook. (I'm going with the ESPN3 feed, at least I can watch it on TV that way.)

At the end of the year, when we throw out the high score and low score as outliers to evaluate how the team performed statistically, I am confident the Alabama and NC A&T games will be the two thrown out so I agree wholeheartedly MTSU will be our first legitimate litmus test.CameronBornAndBred wrote: ↑September 9th, 2019, 4:15 pmWe've gone from one extreme to the other, so it will be nice to be able to finally judge where we stand and take a guess at how the rest of the season may play out.
I'm going to get the prediction party started early and say Duke covers the spread easily:
Duke 31, MTSU 17.

I don't know enough about MTSU, but I'll join in. I think Duke scores often, but the 14 put up by A&T gives me pause, so I'm going with withBob Green wrote: ↑September 9th, 2019, 5:23 pmAt the end of the year, when we throw out the high score and low score as outliers to evaluate how the team performed statistically, I am confident the Alabama and NC A&T games will be the two thrown out so I agree wholeheartedly MTSU will be our first legitimate litmus test.CameronBornAndBred wrote: ↑September 9th, 2019, 4:15 pmWe've gone from one extreme to the other, so it will be nice to be able to finally judge where we stand and take a guess at how the rest of the season may play out.

I hear Bobo is practicing again but he will still be out against MTSU and Gunnar Holmberg has been ruled out for the season. Waiting for confirmation from Jim Sumner when he posts his article at DBR on today's press conference.
Quentin Harris' health is critical now. We are one missed block away from disaster.
Two field goals and one broken play TD doesn't worry me. We could have easily held A&T to 6 or 9 points. Our defense is solid. However, I will admit we give up long TD runs much too often.CameronBornAndBred wrote: ↑September 10th, 2019, 11:32 am

Uniform:
White helmets with Duke in script, white jerseys and white pants. Duke counters the MTSU blackout by wearing all white.

You were pretty close on half that equation.
