Prayers, Vibes, Good Thoughts Needed for Miss Fran

Many of you remember my mom's best friend, Miss Fran, who came with us to tailgates several years ago. I know Bob Green remembers her--we were speaking about her on Saturday at the TBCC tailgate.

In recent years, Fran has had some circulatory problems in her legs, and she's had some stents put in. Over the weekend, Fran's daughter, Sara, noticed that Fran was having difficulty completing her sentences. Sara kept checking on Fran over the weekend--who always seemed to get better after taking a BP pill. On Monday morning, Fran had some numbness in her right arm, the right side of her face was drawn, and her eyes were big. Sara had Fran transported to the E.R.

When Mom spoke with Fran on Monday afternoon, she was her usual jolly self (but certainly she must be scared half to death!).

Fran is having a carotid artery procedure on Thursday at 4:00. Please send prayers, CTN vibes, TBCC good thoughts and Blue Devil love to Miss Fran, her surgeon, and her medical team on Thursday.

Background: My mother and Fran were friends back in the 60s when Fran's husband Sam was the minister at St. Matthew's in Fayetteville. In those days, the Parsonage was down the street from the house I grew up in and that my father still lives in today.

Fran McMillan touched my life a long time ago.

We just saw Dr. _______. Successful surgery! Mom is in recovery and we will see her soon. Praise God!
