Nice job team. Duke to the Super Regionals for the first time ever. They had to beat Georgia twice today to get there. :duke:

Yippee! I watched a little of the first game on my iPad in the office and the final outs of the second one on my phone in the gym. Did some jumping up and down on a treadmill. :9f:

Almost put this in the you can't make this up thread. So many good things happened in today's adventures of sisters.

My sister called me yesterday afternoon because she had a close encounter with a deer driving home from visiting her friend at the lake. It was in the middle of a hot, sunny day so not prime time to see deer. Mike, the gentleman who was driving behind her, said the deer went flying into the ditch after running into the front driver side of her car. Mike was actually on his way to a body shop in Versailles MO so he followed her until they got into town and then lead her to the body shop. As they arrived at the shop, an ambulance headed out in the direction they had come from and they both had the same thought - did the deer call 911? :D

So, about 5 hours of driving later, we arrived safe and sound at her house. So grateful she wasn't hurt and that great people were around to help her out.

Dink, glad everyone is okay.

If the deer can call 911, he/she may also have insurance so y'all might want to file on his/her policy. :9f:

The deer didn't make himself/herself didn't give her any proof of insurance.

Doe a deer, a female deer.

Someone killed a fawn in our parking lot this morning. Not sure if it was a car hit or wildlife. We do have bobcats, coyotes, and mountain lions in the area. A friend’s dog got taken this Sunday.

That is why I keep my cats indoors only. Nature can be violent.

The car ended up being totalled. Repairs were $80 below the threshold and they might find additional damage once the repairs started. No fun to be forced to look for a car. Still, Sister Anne wasn't hurt so all is good.

Sorry to hear that DinK. Glad your sister was okay, replacing cars while expensive and a hassle can be done. Replacing people, well...

Thank you, all, for your words. Yes, cars can be replaced. It stinks but so much better than it could have been.

Driving question for you: You are in a left turn lane that has its own light - a green arrow. It doesn't turn to a flashing yellow arrow when the lanes going straight through the intersection turn green. If you are sitting there, along with other cars, through multiple cycles of the light without the green arrow coming on, what do you do?

a. keep waiting until it does
b. run it if there is a break in the traffic coming toward you
c. switch lanes and go straight until you can make a UTurn to come back

How many cycles do you wait?

X( Stupid light!
