Egg Nog - a family favorite at Christmas.
But I won't swallow a raw egg a la Rocky.

Well, the dough used to be better when they were slice and back. I don't know what they did when they switched to the spoonable dough, but the dough taste went down hill. Now they are better in a baked state than a dough state.windsor wrote:and the problem with that would be........colchar wrote: Please refrain from mentioning this. Re: How do you like your eggs?
I am a fan of all of the above except coddled ;)
I love scrambled eggs, but don't dry them out - leave a little bit of shine so they are moist. Love to have American cheese (Velveeta is even better) mixed into the eggs before or during cooking so it melts evenly throughout. Shoney's does a great job on them on their buffet, and they are about the only restaurant buffet that does on a consistent basis.
I love fried eggs, but I want the white over the yolk firm, but the yolk needs to be liquid so I can dip the cooked white (and accompanying toast) into it. So I cover them with the frying pan cover when I cook them - it's easier than flipping them for over easy/medium, and they cook on the top without burning the bottom.
I love omelets! Bacon, cheese (again, American or Velveeta) and tomato (chunks), western of Denver (is there really a difference?), ham, cheese and tomato - I really like tomato in my omelet. It keeps it moist, and please don't over cook them. As a kid my mother made jelly omelets! Usually with grape jelly. Ymm!
Poached eggs are a treat! That's why I love Egg McMuffins so much (either the ham or sausage variety. I love it when they are 2 for $2, like now!) Eggs Benedict - ymm!
Hard boiled? OK, but usually they'll be chopped up and put in a salad. Or it's Passover.
Soft boiled? My mother used to make them for me when I was a kid - but they have to be perfect, like my fried eggs - the white has to be solid and the yolk yolky.
Your poll only let me choose one kind. I can't do that. It's like steak - filet, ribeye, NY Strip, T-bone/porterhouse - I like variety!

I don't know what coddled is. I like mine scrambled, in an omelet, hard boiled, and deviled. Not a big fan of egg salad though. However, my FAVORITE type of egg is over hard with the yolk broken cooked in the grease left from the pound of bacon I just fried. ;)

Re: How do you like your eggs?
That's not eggs, that's cookie dough or cake batter. If that were the question I suppose my favorite way to eat eggs is beaten until stiff and served as part of a lemon meringue pie. I don't think of that as eating eggs though. I think of that as eating pie.DukieInKansas wrote:Do you ever nibble cookie dough or lick the beaters?Bostondevil wrote:Cooked. I'm with windsor... MATZAH BREI!!
Otherwise, it's scrambled, followed by omelet.
As for what I don't like... hard boiled over rice. TOO MUCH of that lately.

Re: How do you like your eggs?
I don't like deviled eggs. I do like egg salad, but DON'T put any mustard in it. Miracle Whip or mayo, and a little bit of sour cream gives it a nice sweet zip (sour cream was my mother's secret ingredient!)bjornolf wrote:Um, that's why I included it in MY list. ;)CameronBornAndBred wrote:I was just thinking...HOW COULD DEVILED BE LEFT OFF OF THIS POLL??!!!!!
