Remember when players used to come to Duke for four years and their teams won national championships and then they graduated?

If a kid is not going to stay at Duke for four years, I'm not really interested in investing my energy in following his career.

If he's not SURE he wants to be here, he should go. For all the great reasons to be a part of the Duke brotherhood, there is one thing for certain. It's not an easy road. You gotta really want to be here. It takes full commitment. That's why I'm rarely sorry to lose a recruit. We need guys who are just dying to be part of the fist. Nothing less ever has a happy ending.

Marques Bolden shot down yesterday’s transfer rumor. Here are his comments:

“Despite rumors about my future that have circulated in recent days, I’m excited to announce that I’ll be returning to Duke for my sophomore year. I have unbelievable support from my family, teammates and coaches. I’m ready to get to work for next season and I’m excited for what should be a great year for our program.”
