Human/Nature - Solo show in Kinston

If you are close enough to Kinston to check out some art, the opening of my show "Human/Nature" will be September 29th from 5-7. The gallery is an awesome place to show, huge and spacious. My show will be a collection of portraiture and landscape/floral works in both acrylic and watercolor, ranging in variety of sizes. I wish the opening weren't on a Thursday (this gallery always does Thursdays), but if you can't make it for on that date the show will be up through November 5th.
It is a block away from Mother Earth Brewing, and two blocks from The Farmer & The Chef, so you can make a it a completely cultural experience. :)

Address is
400 N Queen St, Kinston, NC 28501

Wish I could make it. I guess I"ll just bring a glass of wine to the office on the 29th and look at my personal collection of Wagner art - all 1 of it - instead.

Congratulations!

Ooh, what a great idea! Too bad I will be at a conference at Smith Mountain Lake and not around my Wagner piece on the 29th. I will raise a glass to the picture of my office shrine. :9f:

DukePA and Windsor both surprised me at the opening tonight, that was so cool of them! They joined Julie, CathyCA and my parents at the Boiler Room afterwards. Good eats, good company, and decent art!

I am still flying after the wonderful evening we all had tonight. Windsor and I were blown away by how much better CB&B's acrylics are in "real life," because it must said that digital media does not come close to affording the body of work justice. The paintings are magnificent!

More important however, was how great it was to meet Chris' wonderful Mom and his stepdad, Ernie, as well as catching up with Chris, Julie, Cathy and Loni. Life is grand. Go DUKE :)

Chris, it sounds as though opening night was a rousing success. Congrats! I enjoyed seeing the pictures of the event that you posted. Your work is just wonderful in the pics; here's hoping I'll be able to see them in person someday. Your career is really taking off. I'm so happy and proud of you! Great things are coming, and it couldn't happen to a better person. :happy-bouncyblue: :happy-bouncyblue: :happy-bouncyblue: :ymparty: :ymparty: :ymparty: :ymparty: :9f:

It comes down Nov 5th...but Mother Earth will still be there. :)

Rotten timing as far as the show goes and Hurricane Matthew. Most of Kinston is just this week finally drying out. While the gallery itself did not flood, many of the streets to get to downtown were impassible and the building was locked up for over a week. I'll take my sorrows, though, in comparison of those who truly lost so much; many families and businesses have a long rebuilding period in front of them.
