If she was sitting at the gate, I can't believe someone didn't check with her to see if she was supposed to be on that flight. Glad she was able to find an alternate route. My nephew texts that way. It isn't uncommon for a text from him to come in 5 parts.

As a person who flew as an unaccompanied minor as a kid a lot, they used to do a lot for you. Now, as an adult who has picked up and dropped off several, it's really just a fee for having to deal with a kid. They don't really seem to do crap. The last time I picked a kid up, he was twelve, they didn't even walk him out or check my ID or anything. Now, maybe they do more for younger kids, but from what I've seen, they don't do anything special for any kid 10+, even though the fee is required up to 15 for some airlines.

Just completed a follow up ER visit for one of my patients who has had a diagnosis of SVT (Supraventricular Tachycardia) for about 10 years. When EMS arrived on Saturday, he told them he knew he had STD.

In the middle of the night last night, I was driving the OP to Duke ER as he was having an episode with his AFIB. He was wondering what I had found to chuckle about. I was remembering this post!

FYI -- he's fine this morning. They shot the juice to him, got his heart's attention, and he's back to being his silly self. See y'all Saturday.
