The Rev had pastrami. The picture doesn't do the size of his sandwich justice. After he ate half of it, the server weird what was left and it came out to 0.89 pounds.OZZIE4DUKE wrote:Carnegie worthy sized sammich! FWIW, giving credit where it is due, I enjoyed today's weather. Intermittent rains/thunderstorms and a high that stayed south of 90. Tomorrow will be similar. I was able to work in my yard and garage in the late afternoon, when normally I would have sought the comfort of the air condition inside.

I'm, not so patiently, for cooler weather. Usually I spend a lot of time outside but not lately.

Let's see ... RoadRunner is not leaving. On the contrary, she expects the institution to pick up a larger percentage of her salary. Good luck with that. I am HOPING that she gets canned for the long string of ethical violations she has incurred since moving to Europe. They're too numerous to list at this point.windsor wrote:uh Arkie...buying, then not buying, then renting a house and moving is NO EXCUSE for not updating us on

Nubile Creature Awesome! NC has moved cross country and now lives with MacGyver. She does not have a job, and MacGyver is "helping her get her finances in order." I've met NC now. She seems nice enough but very shy and submissive. One of the conversations between them that I overheard was MacG telling her that her nail polish was too dark(!) MacG seems happy, so that's good.
The new house is awesome. All in all, things worked out for the best. I like this place better than either of the two houses I tried to buy. I half-jokingly asked my realtor why he didn't show me this place when I was looking to buy. The answer is that I didn't think I wanted to live in this neighborhood. I was wrong. I now live a little over a mile from work in a very quiet neighborhood with lots of trees. The owners said they'd sell the house to me if I lived here for a while and decided I want to buy, and I'm already thinking that might just happen.
Most people say that is it is the intellect which makes a great scientist. They are wrong: it is character.
