That's a lot of beef for a HS junior . Where do you think Cut will play him, center, OG or OT?Bob Green wrote:Will Taylor, another OL, has verbally committed to Duke:

It sounds like he has a lot of work to do in the weight room but I like that he is the son of a DL coach.

Re: 2017 Recruiting
Yep. His listing is OLB/DE but 6'3" and 200 lbs is kinda, sorta small for a DE.Bob Green wrote:It sounds like he has a lot of work to do in the weight room but I like that he is the son of a DL coach.

Re: 2017 Recruiting
Cut and company has done a decent job before when moving folks around. ;) A tall, fast guy can irritate the hell out of QBs. (Jeremy Cash would agree, and he's 3" shorter with barely more weight.)devildeac wrote:Yep. Brooks announced he is de-committing and reopening his recruitment. A big loss.Bob Green wrote:4* LB Ellis Brooks has verballed to Duke. He is a 6'2" 240 stud out of Richmond from the same high school as Scott Bracey (and Silent G).

Re: 2017 Recruiting
Wonder the reasoning. It wouldn't be "wanting to play closer to home", and we haven't gone on any losing streaks lately.Bob Green wrote:Brooks announced he is de-committing and reopening his recruitment. Re: 2017 Recruiting
Imagine him at ages 19-23 after a year or two of the Cut diet and in the Duke weight room at about 280-290 lbs. What a beast!Bob Green wrote:Offensive lineman Patrick Leitten (6'7" 250) from Brentwood, TN verbally committed yesterday:

Re: 2017 Recruiting
TE Noah Gray (6'5" 225) is the newest Blue Devil. He reportedly ran a 4.7 40. That's great speed for a guy that big. Lots of possibilities.

There are rumors at The Devils Den a big recruit is going to announce for Duke this weekend. I'll be keeping an eye on Twitter all day.
